Create Your Kidpreneur Business Listing

Tell local families about your business, introduce the creative kid behind it and give shoppers a preview of what they can find at your booth.

One of the most important parts of building a business is learning how to tell people what makes it special. Participating young entrepreneurs are invited to create a listing in our 2026 Kidpreneurs Business Directory before the fair.

We are using the regular Macaroni KID Directory submission form, so you may see a few questions designed for grown-up businesses. Don’t let that throw you! Complete the parts that apply to your child’s business and leave anything else blank.

Children should write or help answer as much as they can. Parents may assist with spelling, typing, safety and the technical parts of the form, but we want each listing to reflect the young entrepreneur’s own ideas and personality.

Before You Begin

Sit down together and gather the information you would like to share. You may want to write your answers in another document first, then copy and paste them into the form.

Remember: your directory listing will be public. Parents should review everything before it is submitted and leave out personal information that should not be shared online.

Step 1: Your Information

This section is for the parent or guardian’s contact information. It will not be displayed in the public directory listing.

  • Contact Name: Enter the parent or guardian’s name.
  • Email: Enter an email address the parent checks regularly.
  • Phone: Enter the parent or guardian’s phone number if desired.

Step 2: The Basics About Your Business

  • Business Name: Enter the name the child chose for the business.
  • Business Email: This field is required. Use a parent-managed business email or another email address the parent is comfortable having connected to the listing.
  • Business Phone: Leave this blank unless the business has a public phone number that the parent wants published.
  • Website: If the business already has a website or online shop, include the full web address beginning with https://. If there is no website yet, leave this field blank. Once your Macaroni KID Directory listing is published, you will receive your own listing link that you can use as your business website!
  • Business Hours: Most kid-created businesses will leave this blank unless they have regular public hours.

Step 3: Write Your Full Description

This is where the young entrepreneur gets to shine! Don’t just describe the products. Introduce the child behind the business and help shoppers understand how the idea came to life.

Children can answer some or all of these questions:

  • What is your first name and age?
  • What inspired you to start this business?
  • What do you create, make or offer?
  • What is your favorite product or part of your business?
  • What makes your business different or special?
  • Did you learn a new skill while creating your business?
  • What can shoppers expect to find at your booth?
  • What are you most excited about for the Kidpreneurs Fair?

Sample Beginning:

“Hi! I’m Sam, and I’m 10 years old. I started Super Sam’s Creations because I love drawing and turning my artwork into things other people can enjoy. At my booth, you’ll find handmade bookmarks, stickers and colorful cards...”

Step 4: Add a Short Description

The short description should explain the business in just one to three sentences. Think of it as a quick introduction for someone who is deciding which booths they want to visit.

Example:

“Super Sam’s Creations offers colorful bookmarks, stickers and greeting cards featuring original artwork created by 10-year-old Sam. Stop by the booth to find a little piece of art to take home!”

Step 5: Address and Location

The form requires a city, state and ZIP code. A parent should complete this section and review it carefully before submitting.

  • Street and Street 2: Leave these blank unless the business has a public location where customers are invited to visit.
  • City, State and ZIP Code: Enter the city, state and ZIP code where the business is based.
  • Show Map: Do not select this unless the listing includes a public business location.

Please do not publish a child’s home street address.

Step 6: Social Media Links

If the business has parent-managed social media accounts, you may include them. Enter the complete link, not just the account name.

For example: https://www.instagram.com/YourBusinessName/

Leave Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube or TikTok blank if the business does not use that platform. Never include a child’s private personal account.

Step 7: Email Your Images

The directory form does not include a place to upload photos. After submitting the form, have a parent email up to four images to:

 rachaelb@macaronikid.com

You may send:

  1. One square business logo created by the child
  2. One optional headshot of the child entrepreneur
  3. Up to two product photos showing what the child creates or sells

Please include the child’s name and business name in the email. Parents should only send photographs they are comfortable having published online.

Your Final Kidpreneur Checklist

  • The child helped create the answers.
  • The full description introduces both the child and the business.
  • Anything that does not apply has been left blank.
  • No private street address or personal social media account is included.
  • A parent or guardian reviewed the entire submission.
  • The logo and optional photos are ready to email separately.

Please note: Listings are reviewed before publication and will not appear automatically after the form is submitted. The submission form contains standard language used for all Macaroni KID Directory listings. Kidpreneurs should follow the special instructions on this page when completing it.
