Harrisburg Area YMCA School Age Child Care
The Harrisburg Area YMCA School Age Child Care (SACC) program helps families bridge the gap between school schedules and busy workdays. As America’s largest nonprofit childcare provider, the YMCA offers licensed before-school and after-school care for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade across multiple Central Pennsylvania school districts.
Each program provides a safe, structured environment where kids can play, learn, build friendships, and participate in activities that support healthy development. Programs follow the YMCA’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility while helping children grow physically, mentally, and socially.
Financial Support: Child Care Works (CCW) is accepted and Harrisburg Area YMCA financial assistance is available based on need.
Child Safety: The YMCA prioritizes child safety and trains staff in comprehensive safety practices designed to protect and support every child in their care.
