The Nest of Pennsylvania
Connection. Care. Community. Because when parents are supported, children thrive, and whole communities grow stronger.
The Nest of Pennsylvania is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created to empower parents through connection, resources, and trusted support. They are building the village many families wish existed: a warm, welcoming place to land with low-barrier support, practical tools, and real relationships. No referrals. No hoops. No red tape. Care, not conditions.

Business Review

Our 2026 Village Builder Partner: The Nest of Pennsylvania
Each year, Macaroni KID Capital Region selects one nonprofit per region to receive a marketing grant designed to amplify organizations quietly doing meaningful, life-changing work for local families. Village Builders are not chosen based on popularity, advertising, or who has the loudest voice online. They are chosen because families rely on them, and because communities are stronger when they exist. This is our first year launching Village Builders, and I plan to do it every year.
A Personal Note From Rachael
There is a very specific moment in parenting where you realize you were never meant to do this solo. Not because you are failing. Not because you are “not enough.” Simply because parenting is a full-contact sport, and every family deserves a village.
I can picture a season of my own life when my days were stacked with appointments, evaluations, big decisions, and an endless mental checklist. I was pregnant, supporting multiple kids with very different needs, and trying to hold everything together with one hand while packing snacks with the other. I did not need a lecture. I needed people. I needed a place to land. I needed someone to say, “You’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure this out by yourself.”
That is why The Nest matters. They are building the kind of community I wish every parent could tap into on the hard days and the ordinary Tuesdays. A warm welcome. Practical support. Trusted guidance. Connection that feels human. The kind of village that makes family life lighter, not louder.
Congratulations to The Nest of Pennsylvania for being selected as our 2026 Village Builder Partner. We are proud to amplify their work and help more families find the support they deserve.
