Mind Steward Summer Theater Camps 2026
Have a musical day. Mind Steward is a visual and performing arts camp where STEAM is woven through every rehearsal, design session, and backstage build. Campers explore theater from all angles. Backstage students even engineer robotic characters that come to life during our Broadway Junior productions.
This year’s shows include:
- Disney’s Frozen Jr. for ages 4 to 13
- Disney’s High School Musical Jr. for ages 13 to 18
Mind Steward is a no cut program. Every camper enrolled is guaranteed a role in the show with no audition required. Whether your child loves the spotlight or prefers creating magic behind the scenes, there is a meaningful place for them here.

Macaroni KID Review: Why Families Love Mind Steward
Mind Steward is one of those rare summer programs that feels bigger than “just a camp.” Kids are not only learning songs and staging, they are building confidence, community, and skills that spill over into the rest of the year. Parents talk about it like a core memory factory, and teens who intern there walk away with experience that looks fantastic on a résumé and actually means something in the real world.
Instead of choosing between arts, STEM, or leadership, Mind Steward quietly sneaks all three into one immersive experience. Here is how families and interns describe it in their own words.
My experience as a Mind Steward intern was priceless. The level of commitment Joanne Link and the entire staff put into every aspect of production is to be praised. I had the chance to hone my skills in numerous areas, from directing to social media management. It's an opportunity that all high schoolers should take advantage of, because no matter what you’re interested in, a Mind Steward internship has something for you.
It's a bit like Disney World - almost too good to be true at times - and returning to the real world is tough. Yet, thanks to Mind Steward, we're inspired to weave music, art, science, and joy into our daily lives, because these things truly do have a place in everyday life, too.
“My daughter goes to a school camp every day for a month, but we always end that one early so she can go to Mind Steward’s camp. This is our priority during summer.”
“I knew I wanted music lessons for [my 4-year-old daughter], and it [is] important to start early. There are very few teachers willing to teach students that young, because you’re not teaching them music, you’re motivating them to want to learn. A teacher that is able to teach very young students music is rare, and Joanne is one of those rare music teachers that can do that.”
If you have a child who sings constantly, builds cardboard stages in the living room, or lights up when the spotlight hits, Mind Steward is the kind of camp that meets them where they are and invites them a little further. From first-time performers to future directors and designers, there is room on this stage for everyone.
