Double Vision Acres is where grocery shopping becomes a play date.  Pick up a DVA Box (all the CSA goodness without the subscription commitment) and let the kids live their best barn life:

  • Play Barn – A kid wonderland with rotating stations (think construction tools, trucks, pretend vet clinic, a giant corn pit, and seasonal surprises). Admission: by donation.
  • Sensory Barn – Designed with neurodiverse kids in mind and loved by all.  Calming, open-ended play with textures, tools, and imagination stations. Admission: by donation.
  • Petting Zoo – Meet friendly farm animals and new furry friends.  Typically $3 per person.

Prices can shift slightly depending on what’s happening at the farm and to cover supplies, but DVA keeps it always reasonable and family-friendly.

Beyond the barns, you’ll find farm-fresh vegetables, local meats, eggs, and pantry goodies, plus a heart for community—DVA donates extra produce to local organizations and helps with TNR and animal rescue.  (You may even meet Lola the sulcata tortoise or a few adoptable kittens.  Prepare for squeals.)

Why we love it: It ticks every MacKID box—support local, support families, make memories, and leave with ingredients your kids will actually eat because they picked them out themselves.

Good to know & tips

  • Bring socks or easy shoes for little feet that might migrate from outside to inside play.
  • Keep a few dollars handy for the Petting Zoo and donations to the barns.
  • The selection in your DVA Box changes with the season—embrace the adventure.
  • Seasonal extras pop up (pumpkins, special events, occasional inflatables). Check socials for the day’s highlights.

Business Review

We went “just to grab a produce box” and stayed long enough for my kids to build a small city in the corn pit, diagnose three stuffed animals in the pretend vet clinic, and fall in love with two kittens.  I call it love at first watermelon.  The barns are sensory-smart, the prices are down-to-earth, and the food is real-deal farm fresh.  Double Vision Acres is our new happy place for errands that magically count as enrichment.  10/10 would bribe my children with peppers again.
