Business Review

If you’ve met Ridley, you already know: the kid’s got a big personality. We’re talking Broadway-sized feelings, dramatic flourishes at breakfast, and a knack for storytelling that would exhaust even the most patient grandparent. For years, we’ve been on the hunt for a space where “too much” isn’t a problem—it’s a superpower.

Enter Popcorn Hat Players Camp. Last summer, Ridley dipped his toe into the world of theatre with a week of camp, and let’s just say—he didn’t dip so much as cannonball. Suddenly, that dramatic energy we were trying to bottle up had a stage to spill onto, and it was glorious.

Now, he’s leveling up with Gamut Theatre Academy. Classes here aren’t just about memorizing lines—they’re about learning to channel all that larger-than-life energy into something constructive: confidence, communication skills, and yes… even listening (a miracle we parents dare not dream of).

Finding a fit for a kid like Ridley—a kid whose emotions arrive at full volume, whose personality is “extra” in the best way—hasn’t always been easy. But at Gamut, he isn’t “too much.” He’s exactly enough. And watching him take the stage, seeing him soak up professional instruction while having the time of his life, I know we’ve found his place.

So if you’ve got a kid who feels like a walking exclamation point—trust me. Gamut Theatre Academy might just be their stage, too.
