🎨 Art in the Wild

Wildwood Park is home to one of the most unique outdoor art experiences in Central Pennsylvania. Each year, artists create nature-inspired installations placed throughout the park’s trails and wetlands.

Exhibit Opening

  • Date: Sunday, March 29
  • Time: Dawn to dusk

Visitors can explore the self-guided trail to discover sculptures and installations made mostly from natural materials. The theme for this year’s exhibit is “Balance.”

Meet the Artists

On opening day, visitors can also meet the artists behind the installations during a special trail walk event.

  • Date: Sunday, March 29
  • Time: 1:00–3:00pm
  • Location: Wildwood Park

The event features a three-mile self-guided trail where guests can observe how the pieces were built and learn about the artists’ creative process.

Because the exhibit stretches through wetlands and wooded trails, it turns a simple park walk into a nature-meets-art adventure that families rarely find anywhere else in the region.

🌾 Looking Ahead: Wetlands Festival

As spring continues, Wildwood Park will also host its annual Wetlands Festival, one of the biggest family nature events in the Harrisburg area. The festival features wildlife demonstrations, nature crafts, guided walks, environmental exhibits, and interactive activities for kids.

If your family enjoys outdoor adventures, wildlife learning, and community festivals, keep an eye out for announcements as the event approaches.
