✨ Big Machines, Bright Lights: Volvo Holiday Lights Returns To Shippensburg
Shippensburg • Drive-through holiday lights • Construction machines in their festive best

If your kids light up every time they see a big truck or excavator, this is your Super Bowl of holiday events. Volvo Construction Equipment in Shippensburg is bringing back Volvo Holiday Lights, a free drive-through display where massive construction machines get a full holiday glow-up. Families can cruise through campus, admire the lights, wave to Santa and Mrs. Claus, and even help raise money for local nonprofits just by liking photos online.
It is low stress, kid friendly, budget friendly, and very Central PA cozy. Pajamas and cocoa highly encouraged.
What Is Volvo Holiday Lights?
Volvo Holiday Lights is a drive-through holiday event at the Volvo CE North American Headquarters in Shippensburg. For four evenings, construction machines are transformed into giant glowing decorations with lights, inflatables, and festive scenes. Families drive through campus, enjoy the views, listen to seasonal music from the Shippensburg Area High School band, and visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus from the comfort of their vehicles.
The event began in 2020 as a way to lift spirits during the pandemic and has become a beloved local tradition. It is free to attend and is designed for all ages, especially kids who do best in chill, stay-in-your-own-seat kind of settings.
"This is such a fun and heartwarming way to bring our employees and community together to celebrate the holidays," says Melissa Cutchall, Head of People & Culture at Volvo CE. "Shippensburg is a community that cares, and our teams look forward to this opportunity to give back each year."

A Peek At The Glow

Holiday Lights That Give Back
Along the route, you will see three featured displays created by Volvo employees using real Volvo CE machines. Each display represents a local nonprofit organization. Your family can help decide how much money each group receives by voting online.
From December 5 to 8, the public can head to the Volvo Construction Equipment North America Facebook page and like the photo of their favorite machine display. Those likes help determine the amount of the donation each nonprofit receives. Past recipients have included food pantries, shelters, animal rescues, and other local charities.
It is a simple way to let your kids see how something fun like looking at lights can also support neighbors in need.
